Since the breeding of the "00" rapeseed, rapeseed has been used both in human and animal nutrition. Due to its high oil and protein content, the seed is an integral part of many feed mixtures and foodstuffs.
Hulling with SCHULE machines produces a kernel fraction with a very low crude fibre content. When hulled rapeseed is further processed in an oil mill, a very high-quality oil is produced. At the same time, a press cake or extraction meal is produced with a higher protein content than that of comparable products made from unhulled rapeseed.
